A Tribute To Ancient Greece

This is a tribute to ancient Greece, its spectacular architecture and the wise words of some of the greatest philosophers the world has ever seen. I created naive, hand drawn illustrations of some of the grandest temples that still stand tall and strong after some 2000 years. I then created a hand drawn font based on the classic Baskerville typeface to resemble the carvings of the scripts on the temples. These two elements were intertwined to create intricate patterns.

Work In Progress : The humble sketchpad

The naive illustrations are drawn by hand with the classic paper and pen. They were then manipulated in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to reveal the colours formed by the golden sunlight. All detail was further eliminated to create the complex seamless patterns.

Display Font

DT Temple is a decorative display font for editorials or packaging design that I created with iFontMaker. It has a uppercase and lowercase display of both Latin and Greek characters. With over 100 unique characters, numerals & glyphs, I have made DT Temple now available for free download and use.
